Andreas Haak

Andreas Haak is a Partner at Pinsent Masons and Co-head of the firm’s German practice group Public, Regulatory and Trade. He has more than 20 years of relevant professional experience with national and European projects in the sphere of international trade (export and sanctions compliance, FDI screening, free trade agreements and trade measures) at the interface between the public sector and private companies.

Andreas studied law and business administration. Prior to joining Pinsent Masons in 2024, he worked in the European Parliament and was a Partner for international law firms in Brussels and Düsseldorf, for which he was inter alia local managing partner (2013 to 2015 and 2019 to 2023) and head of the industry group Life Sciences and Healthcare (2013 to 2014). He is a member of the Committee Europe of the Federal Bar Association.  Andreas is security checked according to the German Security Screening Act (Sicherheitsüberprüfungsgesetz). He regularly publishes articles in specialist journals and presents lectures on his main topics.
